I’ve been taking a little time off from blogging (don’t hate me) and am enjoying reading (which you will see as a review shortly) and enjoying my daughter (she’s funny and interesting). Also editing my second book in the flashback series (Flashback to the Mosquito – scroll down, so NOT about camping) and generally lying about enjoying my sloth-like existence for one more day.
Monday it will be back to a schedule of writing, reading, editing, walking, and moving toward my goals for 2013 which are to:
1. Publish the second book in my series through Abbott Press. I like them. They are helpful. They follow through on what they say they will do for the money I pay them. All is fair. Yes, I have to pay them to do it, but they do it and I’m happy (well, except for the money part but I haven’t found a painless way to get my story edited, designed, and published for free).
2. Have a fabulous celebration for my daughter who is graduating this year. We are having an event in the backyard (unless it rains in which the event will be in our house, nice and cozy). DJ, music, foods, balloons, family and friends. She is my only child, she is totally worth it, and my husband and I are so proud and happy for her. Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn’t rain.
3. Set my daughter up at college, move in day, supplies, snack food, the whole works. We are so excited for this step in her life and it is my goal to make sure it goes smoothly for her.
Once I’ve established those three goals, I’ll collapse. Then go about cleaning up after everything and begin again – but not until 2014.
In between it all, of course, will be more marketing, more reading, more reviews, more selling myself and my book, more push, push, push to get it out to more venues (exhausting). But now you know what three things will occupy my mind through most of 2013 (something my Abbott Press marketing consultant will have to understand).
So, I wanted to say hi (waves) and let you know I’m still around and wish you all well with your 2013 goals!
