So many stories, so little time.
Working on three stories right now. Trying to combine two of them – a short story about the Flashback detective, Nate Cliffton, and the third book in the Flashback series (as yet unnamed). To keep the two stories straight and consistent, I’ve got a timeline developed that crosses over both stories. In the timeline I age the characters I’m tracking, and promote them at their jobs, while outlining events that occur within the story. Fun times.
Eventually the timeline I’m working on for the two stories will develop into a color-coded graph that I will tape up behind my desk in order to refer to it on a regular basis. It’s the same process I used with Flashback To The Dragon and the second Flashback novel (currently being edited) Flashback To The Mosquito, only those were not so extensive as this one.
The third one I’m working on right now is a short story about a lovely 1940s – 1950s bleached blonde actress with sexy, pouty lips, a beauty mark above the left corner of her mouth and a famous 37-23-36 figure. Yeah, you guessed it. Someone similar to Marilyn Monroe. The story relates to the Flashback series in that the killer in book one stalked women with that general description and will be released in segments on Pinterest, like a series in a weekly magazine, by December – a little wintertime reading.
Also editing book 2, Flashback To The Mosquito. I hope to begin the process of beta reader reviews and developmental edits in the next couple months, with a publishing date next Spring.
Should be fun. Should keep me busy. In the meantime, if you are looking for a fast read, a thriller with a paranormal twist; tune in to Flashback To The Dragon, at Amazon.com, here:
And let me know what you think, about the story, the characters, or the pace. There are some excellent reviewers out there who do reviews on a regular basis, but anyone can jot down a few impressions after reading a story and it is appreciated.
